OS Mieke Davison (Sullivan) has informed us of the death of her father Paul Sullivan (1953-60).
While at the College, Paul was a keen sportsman and a less keen academic. He played football, cricket, squash and swam for the school and (said he) “captained the football team before the sport was banned from the curriculum for quite some time!”
He enjoyed his time at the College despite a couple of exclusions and he always said it was there that his entrepreneurial skills were first developed; one early enterprise involved selling toast to the starving boarders.
He continued to support the College to the end and always took an interest in what was happening. His granddaughter Nellie Davison now attends the school.
His funeral will take place at 11.00 a.m. on Tuesday 10 October at Seamer Church followed by refreshments at South Cliff Golf Club. The family would warmly welcome anybody who wishes to attend.
